Training for a 10k Trail Race – 10 week training plan for beginners

This programme is for you if you’re new to running, or new to the distance and would like to train for a 10km (6 mile) run.

The programme can be completed on road or trails but we do suggest at least one trail session per week. If you need helping finding a trail in your area – drop us a line and we’ll try to help!

One km is equivalent to 0.6 miles. For this training programme, distances in miles have been rounded to the nearest whole number for simplicity.
