Suffolk Trail Festival 10K Trail Race

Please note: To conform to UK Athletics Rules, an additional £2 fee for non attached club runners is required.
NB: All entrants must be age 15 or over on race day to participate in the 10km event.
Runners of all abilities are welcome.
The route is cross country and includes stretches of footpaths, woodland and meadows. Shimpling Park Farm is nestled in rolling countryside, parts of the course may be muddy and all terrain running shoes are advisable.

Top 3 Male & Female finishers will receive a trophy.
This is a multi-terrain event and all competitors enter it at their own risk. While medical assistance is provided for the duration of the event no liability will be accepted by the charity, individual race organisers or land owners for any injury incurred by entering this race.
Pictures and video footage may be used on the Suffolk Trail Festival website or that of our sponsors and in advertising material and media write-ups. All competitors entering the race agree to their photograph being used for these purposes.
It is a condition of entry that all competitors agree to the terms and conditions as set out on the Suffolk Trail Festival website.
The registration desk at the race start will be open from 08.00 – 09:30 am where race numbers and chips should be collected. Please note race numbers and chips will not be sent out in the post prior to the event.
To collect your number please queue behind the desk dealing with your race. The desks will be marked.
Please allow sufficient time to collect and attach your chip prior to the run.
A limited number of ‘on the day’ entries may be available. While every effort will be given to ensure on the day entries receive a chip time this can not be guaranteed. All on the day entries must be registered by 9am on a first come first serve basis.
There is ample parking at Shimpling Park Farm although some parts may be on a field. Please follow the car park attendants instructions and take care entering and leaving the farm.
Please note that parking is free.
All cars parked in the car park do so entirely at their own risk and the race organisers or land owners accept no responsibility for any loss or damage to vehicles or valuables parked there.
HQ is situated close to the race start. Registration will take place here and any race queries can be resolved.
Race Start & Finish
This will be clearly visible by the inflatable gantry and is located close to the event arena.
This event is staffed by volunteers and, while all efforts will be made to record finish times, the organisers take no responsibility for failure to record times accurately. The results have been contracted out to a third party and they will record the 3km times by chip timing. The organisers accept no responsibility for equipment failure or an inability to capture finish times in any way. Failure to secure your chip in line with the instructions or to lose it will mean your time is not recorded.
We use British Athletics rules in arriving at winners. Suffolk Trail Festival base their winners on the information supplied by the chip timing company and do not accept responsibility for any errors.
If an accurate race time is imperative to competitors we ask that they bring their own watches to record their times.
All times will be uploaded to the website hopefully from the Sunday evening. All recorded times are final and no dispute will be entered into.
Qualified First Aiders will be on hand at the race head quarters to assist with any emergency injuries. Please note you should seek medical advice from your local GP if you are in any doubt as to your health in competing in this event. The organisation will not be held responsible for any injury, accident, loss or damage that may arise before, during or after the event as a consequence of a competitor’s participation in the race.
If you are injured on the course please speak to one of the marshals who will contact the first aiders.
